Welcome to my happy place, and hopefully yours too.

My boutique journey started way back in the day when I designed my first business cards in middle school. It read, "Momo Rose - All the Hottest Fashion & Accessories." But let's fast forward a bit, shall we?

I left my corporate banking job at 22 years old and moved from my hometown of Salinas, California, to the big little city of San Francisco to attend my dream school.

Yes, it was the same school Lauren Conrad attended while filming the MTV show "The Hills." You know, back when we thought reality T.V. was actually real. Ah, the good ole days.

I packed my orange Volkswagen Beetle, and my cat Mischka and I were on our way to turn this childhood dream into reality.

It turned out to be about as real as Lauren turning down an internship in Paris to be with her "boyfriend," Brody.

Don’t get me wrong, the experience I gained from being on my own, and learning traditional marketing and buying strategies was helpful, and I don’t regret a thing.

But "How to Start an Online Boutique" wasn't necessarily in your standard textbooks.
